This is JUST what I needed to read! I’m slowly transitioning to vegan and it seems daunting living here in Paris. This reminds me that it IS possible. If its possible to be vegan in paris, its possible anywhere. Thanks for the post!

Hi PGM, One idea is L’Arpège (http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/travel/destinations/2009-07-20-paris-vegetarian-dining_N.htm) but for a more affordable meal I always found Le Potager du Marais to be quite romantic with some classic French options (they sometimes have a great vegan Moelleux au Chocolat)! Have fun!

Hi Tobias, It must have been the Gentle Gourmet bed and breakfast, (http://veganparis.com/2011/01/17/eat-and-sleep-vegan-at-gentle-gourmet-bb/) but sadly they closed down. However, they opened up a great café and perhaps if you dropped them a line they might have some ideas. I don’t know of any at present. (http://veganparis.com/2012/08/02/gentle-gourmet-cafe/)

I wanted to bring my wife to Paris for her birthday in July and I had once read in Vegnews Magazine about a Vegan(-friendly) Hotel in Paris… I unfortunately lost the magazine so I don’t have the name anymore… Any chance you could help me out?

Going to Paris this week-end (tomorrow) and I looked up for “La victoire supreme du coeur” and found your article that the place has closed down sad had such nice memories of that place and realised now that it must have been 2004 /2005, basically in my past life.

Any suggestions if I was looking for something a little… classic french cuisine with a spin of romance? Looking for something romantic for a special evening, as part of week in paris. Vegetarian, not necessarily vegan – fairly flexible budget. I’ve spent hours scouring the web, with nothing meeting my expectations with perhaps Maceo being the exception.

Very hopeless services ..they don’t know how to talk to customers..intentionally delay the services despite several requests. Not advisable for at least for Indian visiting w/some guest.
